Virtual Module: Building Beautiful Websites for All Users: $96

Calvin Van Zytveld, Accessibility Consultant at More Canvas Consulting, offers three, 60-minute practical lectures on website construction and maintenance.

Topics include: navigability for keyboard-only users, color contrast, alternative text for images, problematic design elements, heading hierarchy, and Web Content Accessibility Guideline 2.1. Participants will learn how to use common assistive technologies and popular automated testing tools so that they are equipped to audit their website’s accessibility.

Participants in the module can sign up for office hours with members of our team to ask any questions they might have. A thorough handout covering the contents of the lesson as well as extensive resources for further study will be sent to participants at the beginning of each class. This course is ideal for those who want to improve their website’s accessibility independently. Participants should be able to construct and repair websites of moderate complexity by the end of the module. No knowledge of computer programming languages is necessary.

The module will take place on the first three Tuesdays in January at 8:00pm Eastern. If you happen to miss a class, we will send you a private link to a video recording of the lecture.
