PILAR CASTRO-KILTZ, FOUNDER

Pilar’s approach, which connects strategy with storytelling, draws both from her professional experience and her training at The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned an MBA and MFA, respectively.

Driven by creating value, meaning, and connection, founder Pilar Castro-Kiltz builds lasting relationships with clients to understand their goals, find solutions to obstacles, and deliver ongoing designs and advisement.

Since founding the firm in 2014, Pilar has worked with executives, entrepreneurs, business owners, and founders to help them articulate then realize their vision.

With a Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, in 2013 Pilar founded The Princeton Arts Alumni—a network and resources for arts creators, patrons, managers and enthusiasts. The group engages alums in and for the arts—across disciplines, geographies, and decades—to fortify the arts ecosystem as an engine for economic and social impact.

JENNIFER SANTIAGO, COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

With 12 years' experience guiding project teams for globally-dispersed startups, Jennifer Santiago offers extensive background in streamlining communication strategies, analyzing news and social media, improving brand positioning, and bringing organization to all levels of project management. With a history of working directly with communication departments for Fortune 500 companies, congressional committees, and federal agencies, Jennifer is driven by providing meaningful value.

Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in journalism from Emporia State University, combining her corporate experience with a love for storytelling to help small businesses and entrepreneurs achieve their marketing and branding goals.

Outside of More Canvas Consulting, Jennifer is passionate about writing fiction, reading anything she can get her hands on, and getting outdoors with her family.

CALVIN VAN ZYTVELD, ACCESSIBILITY CONSULTANT

Following rapid onset blindness in 2020, Calvin Van Zytveld immersed himself in the study of accessible technology and universal design. While at the Michigan Bureau of Services for Blind Persons Training Center, Calvin spearheaded the development of a curriculum for teaching the nonvisual use of Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs). His work at More Canvas includes assessing compliance with accessibility guidelines, always striving to create websites that represent the highest aesthetic value, while being accessible for the greatest possible number of users.

An accomplished cellist, composer, and scholar, Calvin graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University in 2019. He also studied at the Royal College of Music, London, and has done graduate work at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Calvin enjoys playing jazz drums, growing organic produce in his backyard, and traveling with his guide dog, Wake.

PATRICIA VARGAS, SENIOR MARKETING ASSISTANT

Patricia graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing in June 2021. For as long as she can remember, she's always been fascinated by advertising, creative thinking, and content creation, whether photography, drawing or playing around with graphics; Interests that led her to fall in love with marketing.

With a curious personality and an ever-growing interest in learning, Patricia is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in the top management of companies. In the future, she plans on learning more about graphic design to complement her studies in marketing and broaden her perspectives.

Outside of work, she enjoys listening to all genres of music, playing video games, watching movies, and is a huge Marvel and Star Wars fan.

VICTORIA GRUENBERG, STORY SPECIALIST

Victoria Gruenberg is a writer, editor, audio producer, and stage director based in Brooklyn, NY. Her myriad freelance positions have involved her in part- and full-time work for upwards of 20 organizations across the arts, education, marketing, and nonprofit fields.

In her artistic work, she leads projects of ranging sizes and budgets—from shoestring to thousands of dollars—through workshops and rehearsals to performances. Flexible, creative, scrappy problem-solving is central to her work regardless of industry.

As Story Specialist, she combines her backgrounds in storytelling and project management to deliver clear, compelling written materials for More Canvas’ clients. She supplies narrative through-lines for businesses striving to tell the world what they’re doing and why it matters—goals we largely achieve through words.

NIA REYNOLDS, OPERATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT

Nia graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a Concentration in Advertising. Driven by her passion for writing and a keen eye for organization, Nia thrives in a dynamic environment where she can leverage her skills to support teams. 

Nia is deeply invested in continuous improvement and professional advancement, constantly seeking opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills. She enjoys catching up with current industry trends by gaining certifications through various digital platforms. Her work at More Canvas Consulting includes supporting client relations, providing a seamless onboarding experience, contributing to business development efforts, and providing executive support to the CEO.

Outside of More Canvas Consulting, Nia enjoys reading, watching her favorite movies, and spending time with her family. 

JESSI GONZALES, MARKETING ASSISTANT

Jessi graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in New Media Design from Seattle Pacific University, seamlessly merging her passion for storytelling, visual communication, and creative strategy. With a background encompassing communications, branding, and comprehensive design, Jessi brings a unique blend of visual storytelling and strategic thinking to her work, ultimately leading her to discover her love for marketing.

Driven by a deep-seated desire to forge meaningful connections, Jessi is dedicated to creating compelling content that helps brands and small businesses connect with their audience and make a lasting impression.

In her free time, Jessi enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and embarking on walks with her dog, Moose.

Part of our mission at More Canvas Consulting is to create value and growth opportunities for both clients and employees. We proudly offer an internship program designed to build skills and experience for individuals interested in marketing, strategy, or operations. Our CEO also mentors through START, e-club and other programs. For employees, More Canvas facilitates continued education to expand technical, collaborative, personal, and management skills.
